It started with a feeling we couldn't shake.
Always a little aware. A little in our heads. That quiet, background self-consciousness that follows you into the gym, onto a date, through a long day the checking, the second-guessing, the never quite feeling fresh no matter what you tried.

Because here's what we learned the hard way: it was never something to be ashamed of. It was balance. And balance can be supported.
Our story
Vera began with a simple, frustrating question: why do I feel like I'm always fighting this?
Our founder had tried everything the shelf had to offer the washes, the sprays, the "fresh" everything. They'd work for a few hours, and then she'd be right back where she started. Like a lot of women, she assumed that was just how it was. Something to manage quietly, forever.
Then she learned how the body actually works down there that it's home to a delicate microbiome, mostly good bacteria, that keeps everything in natural balance. And that this balance is easily thrown off by the everyday: your cycle, stress, antibiotics, tight fabrics, long hot days and, ironically, by many of the very products marketed to "fix" it.
That changed everything. The problem was never her. And the sprays and washes weren't solving anything they were sitting on the surface, covering things up, while the balance underneath stayed disrupted.
The real answer had to work from within supporting the body's own balance instead of masking it. But the clean, simple version of that didn't exist. Everything was either clinical and intimidating, or over-hyped and a little embarrassing to keep in your bathroom.
So we set out to make something better: a gentle, daily way to support feminine balance and freshness from the inside no sprays, no shame, no complicated routine. One small ritual a day.
That's how Vera was born.
